On March 31, Siemens<\/strong> has reached financial close for the two combined cycle power plants<\/strong>, Burullus and New Capital, in Egypt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Reaching the financial close is an important milestone towards building the two power plants- with a capacity of 4.8 Gigawatts (GW)<\/strong> each set to become the biggest gas-fired combined-cycle power plant complex<\/strong> around the world.<\/p>\n

On March 9, the loan agreements of Burullus and New Capital<\/strong> were signed in Cairo<\/strong>\u2013 in the presence of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Sherif Ismail.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Covering major parts of Orascom Construction <\/strong>and Siemens\u00b4 scope,<\/strong> the financing of the two plants was provided by a consortium of international and regional banks. The credit facilities were largely covered by Export Credit Agencies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For one of these projects, Burullus Combined Cycle Project,<\/strong> 意昂体育 Cranes has supplied all required cranes based on:<\/p>\n

• Steam turbine building section<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  SMM01:<\/strong> 140\/25 ton EOT Crane Span 31.1 m. Height of lift 19\/22.8 m (4 UNITS) Cranes supplied in 2016\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  SMM02:<\/strong>10 ton capacity EOT Crane. Span 11.4 m. Height of lift 14 m (4 UNITS) Cranes supplied in 2016\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Gas turbine building section <\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    SMM01:<\/strong> 200\/30\/12.5 ton EOT Crane Span 16.4 m. Height of lift 20\/21\/18 m\u00a0(4 UNITS) Cranes supplied in 2016\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    SMM02:<\/strong>12.5 ton capacity EOT Crane. Span 15.3 m. Height of lift 12 m (8 UNITS) Cranes supplied in 2016<\/p>\n

    • Travelling water screen and pumps gantry crane 25\/20 ton with span 27.2 m and 16 m legs. Cranes to be supplied in 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • One 5 ton capacity EOT Crane for workshops. Cranes to be supplied in 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
